About Me
Hey there! Folks call me Bones; I reside in Maine, USA and I'm a ripe old age of 30. I am definitely neurodivergent to some capacity, but I'm currently undiagnosed. Maybe I'll get that diagnosis someday...
I have a Bachelor's degree in psychology and I am currently in the final stages of writing my Master's thesis. Even though I know nobody will ask, or likely care, I am writing my thesis on the efficacy of psychosis interventions for individuals who have both autism and psychosis. I should be finished mid-August 2026. Once my thesis is finished, I will graduate with my Master's in psychology. I'm thinking of taking a year off, maybe two depending on how life goes, before starting to pursue my doctorate degree in psychology. I also have worked in the crisis field for 8 years; I have been out of it for about a year and I feel like I have done my time. I have helped many, but I needed to step away for my own mental health. I still want to help people, with a goal of being a therapist.
That all being said, this site is meant to be my little escape. A cozy corner to scurry away from reality. Where I can be virtually surrounded by everything I obsess over and get fixated on. It's where I can escape from the clutches of social media, politics, AI slop, and all of the overwhelming psychological madness that is modern society these days.
I'm old enough to have been around for when MySpace was good.. And man, do I miss it. I miss the creativity, the freedom to express yourself, and the lack of overwhelming garbage that pops up in between what your loved ones are actually talking about. I miss scrolling through things until you hit a point where there is literally nothing left to show because you reached the end of your feed.
Oh, and I will often yammer on and on about things that I adore, so I anticipate my future shrines will be quite in-depth, and probably about topics that nobody else cares about...but I don't care because I care about them and it'll bring me joy, and that's what matters~
